Unlike previous games, players must meet certain requirements in order to enter the licenses, such as earning a certain amount of stars in a particular class of career mode, or completing a specific event. Each license allows access to more section of career mode. Acquisition of each license is progressively more difficult to achieve than the last. There are five licenses available in Gran Turismo 6.
